The E.C.C. Method

The ECC – Emotional Cognitive Coaching method, developed by Dr. Maly Danino, to coach parents of children with learning disabilities and ADHD. Based on sound theoretical principles affected by psychoanalytical, cognitive and behavioral theories, and the three stage model developed By Dr. Clara E. Hill (Hill 2005), The E.C.C (Emotional Cognitive Coaching) method is focused on the parent and guides him through the path of understanding his own feelings, while providing new cognitive insights which will help him learn more effective behavior patterns.
This is an evidence based method, which received recognition in Israel and abroad helps to address the parents’ particular needs and challenges.
The book: “Coach Your Child to Success” (2011) by Dr. Maly Danino, serves as the manual for this program and was translated to: English, Lithuanian, Latvian and Arabic.

Author’s Notes
Along my professional path over the years, I have met many parents who conduct themselves in various ways in relation to their child. I made the decision to transform the meeting with them, and their unique and tender touch to my heart, into a distinct work plan that would serve as a model for them to develop a sense of being that is self-able, thus allowing them to cope effectively with the challenge of being a parent to a child with learning disabilities & ADHD.
